Ingredients For the Caramel:
- sugar-3 tbsp
- Water-1 tbsp
- Eggs-2 large
- Milk-1/2 cup
- Vanilla essence-1/2 tsp
- Sugar-3 tbsp
- Flour (Maida)- 1 1/2 tbsp
- Coco powder-1 tbsp
- Baking powder-1/4 tsp
- Baking soda-a pinch
- Egg-1 large
- Sugar-3 tbsp
- Vanilla essence-1/2 tsp
- Melted butter (Or oil)- 1 tbsp
- In a pan add 3 tbsp sugar and 1 tbsp water.
- For preparing caramel syrup; Cook until it boils and changes the color in to slight golden.
- Quickly pour it in to the 7 inch mold and spread evenly.
- For preparing flan; In to a blender add two eggs, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 tsp vanilla essence and 3 tbsp sugar; blend well.
- Sift it to the mold over caramel layer.
- For preparing cake, beat an egg and 3 tbsp sugar until fluffy.
- Add melted butter, vanilla essence, mix gently.
- Sift the dry ingredients in to it (flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda).
- Fold the batter gently to combine well.
- Pour the cake batter over the flan and tap the mold to remove air bubbles.
- Place it inside a steam pan.
- Cover the lid with a cotton cloth (to avoid steams reaching in the pan.
- Cook on medium flame for about 25-30 minutes.
- Flip the choco flan after completely cools down.
