Onion Tomato Chutney For Dosa

 Onion tomato chutney is one of the easiest and delicious chutney for dosa. It pairs well with appam, oothappam and idli also.
Ingredients:


  1. Oil-1tbsp

  2. Onion chopped – 1 big

  3. Garlic chopped-1 tbsp

  4. Tomato chopped-1big

  5. Salt – to taste

  6. Red Chili Powder – to taste( ¾ tsp)

  7. Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp

  8. Whole Dry Red Chili – 1

  9. curry leaves-few

Preparation:
  •  Heat 1 tsp Oil in a pan.

  • Saute Onions until lightly caramelized.

  • Add garlic and Crushed Tomatoes and cook for few minutes.

  • Add Salt and Red Chili Powder, mix well

  • After cools down; add in to a blender and puree it by adding water.

  • In a pan, heat remaining Oil.

  • Add Mustard Seeds and allow them to pop.

  • Add Whole Red Chili and curry leaves.

  • Add the pureed paste and boil for few minutes until thickens.

  • Serve hot in side with dosa or idli.
