Mini Chocolate Cake / Cake with One Egg

 Mini chocolate cake is an economical cake with spongy texture and delicious taste. It is an easy and excellent cake for beginners to try. I bake it in the pressure cooker easily. You can also bake it in a pre-heated oven at 180 degree for 25 minutes. Do try this simple recipe and don't forget to leave your feed backs here.


Ingredients:
  1. Egg-1 large

  2. Flour (maida)-5 tbsp

  3. Coco powder-2 tbsp

  4. Granulated Sugar-4 tbsp

  5. Baking powder-1/2 tsp

  6. Salt-a pinch

  7. Milk-3 tbsp

  8. Oil-3 tbsp


Preparation:


  • In a mixing bowl; crack an egg.

  • Add sugar and whisk well until mixed.

  • Add oil and milk; whisk well to mix.

  • Add vanilla essence and salt; MIX IT.

  • Place a sieve on top and add the dry ingredients through it(flour, cocoa powder and baking powder).

  • Fold well to mix well without any lumps.

  • Pour the batter in to greased baking mold and tap gently to remove air bubbles.

  • Place it inside the pre-heated pressure cooker and cook on low flame for about 25-30 minutes.

  • Open the lid and allow to cools down the batter completely before frosting.


Ingredients For Frosting



  1. Whipping cream-1 cup

  2. Dark chocolate chips-3 tbsp

  3. Butter soften-1 tbsp

  4. Cream-1 tbsp

  5. Chocolate sprinkles-to garnish



  • Beat whip cream until soft and fluffy.

  • Apply it all over the cake evenly.  

  • Melt dark chocolate and butter in microwave or by double boiling; mix it with cream (fresh cream or whip cream) allow to cool completely; drizzle it over the sides of the cake and on top.

  • Do some piping with whip cream to garnish the cake and spread sprinkles on top.

  • Chill the cake in fridge for at-least 3 hours to set. 

  • Slice it and enjoy!!!!
