Ingredients:
- Prawns cleaned-1/2 kg
- Oil/ ghee-1/4 cup
- Sliced onion-1 large
- Diced tomato-1 large
- Thinly chopped garlic-1 tbsp
- Sliced green chilly-3
- Crushed dry lemon-1
- Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
- Cumin powder-1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder-1 tsp
- Fish Masala-1 tsp
- Garam masala-1 tsp
- Salt-to taste
- Basmati rice-2 cup
- Water-4 cups
- Chopped coriander leaves-1 handful
- Wash and soak basmati rice in water for 20 minutes; Drain it and keep aside.
- Marinate cleaned prawns with 1/4 tsp turmeric powder and salt. Keep aside.
- Heat a pan with ghee or oil.
- Add sliced onion and saute until golden in color.
- Add garlic, green chilly, tomato, coriander leaves and dry lemon; mix well for two minutes.
- Add marinated prawns and all the spice powders; mix well.
- Add drained rice, water and salt.
- Mix well ans cover the lid.
- Cooks until all the water get's absorbed.
- Give a nice mix and serve hot by garnishing on top with coriander leaves.
