Cheese balls are one of the favorite starter/ snack through Worldwide. There is no wonder one who fell in love with the crunchy outside with gooey cheese inside balls. Here is the recipe of making basic potato cheese balls with simple ingredients:
Ingredients:
- Boiled mashed potato-2 cup
- Grated mozzarella cheese-1 cup
- Dry red chilli flakes-1 tsp
- Thinly chopped coriander leaves-2 tbsp
- Thinly chopped ginger-1 tbsp
- Thinly chopped green chilli-1 tbsp
- Pepper powder-1 tap
- Salt-to taste
- Corn flour-1/4 cup +1/2cup
- Bread Crumbs-1/4 cup +1/2 cup
- Oil-for deep frying
- Mix grated mozzarella cheese with red flakes and make tiny balls out of it.
- In another bowl; mix mashed potato, coriander leaves, ginger, green chilli, salt, pepper powder, 1/4 cup corn flour and 1/4 cup bread crumbs.
- Mix well and make same number balls (double the size of mozzarella ball) out of it.
- Grease your hands with water; flatten the potato balls and place the mozzarella ball in center.
- Cover it again and make it round again (must completely cover the mozzarella ball with potato covering). Do it with all the remaining balls.
- Now mix 1/2 cup of corn flour with 1/3 cup of water and dip a prepared potato cheese ball in it;
- Next coat it with bread crumbs.
- Once again dip in corn flour batter and coat bread crumbs (double coating).
- Fry the prepared balls in hot oil until nice golden and crisp.
- Drain it and serve hot with your favorite dips.
